Mac Arthur Landing Memorial National Park

Location : Palo,Leyte

Nearest city : Tacloban,Leyte

Established : July 12,1977

Area : 6.78 hectares(16.8 acres)

Finally came face to face with Gen.Mac Arthur.his statue that is.The statue of Mac Arthur and his supposed to be soldiers and aides are in small pond(no fish). I wonder if it was cleaned regularly against mosquito larvae.for years,i have thought that Mac Arthur’s statue is just man sized but when some kids and American girl and filipino guy walk to the middle of the pond to have their pictures taken it was then realised that the height of statue is two times the height of a regular Filipino. There was a man on the side offering to take pictures for 100php with free use of boots for tourist to walk to the center of the pond. Behind the memorial site is the ocean with the view of Samar and other parts of Leyte.
